What to look for in this issue of the Bulletin
Iwould like to call your attention to things you will want to read about in this issue of the Bulletin.
WCMS has a new Executive Director, Dolores Nixon, who came to us from the Society of Manufacturing Engineers. Read about her in the Member News section.
WCMS President Barnosky
returned recently from a month
in Oxford, England, with stories
to tell. See his report and also his contribution to a new section of the Bulletin, entitled Share Your Story.
Share Your Story is a place in the Bulletin where members can do exactly that: share stories about themselves, their practices, their patients and their experiences that will be an interest to other members. Good examples of this are stories that have appeared in the Bulletin over the past year by Rosalie Tocco-Bradley, Cheryl Farmer, and Charles Koopman. If you haven’t seen these, you should go back and look at them. These are stories that enrich our shared experience; they need to be told and read.
As editor, I would like to see more stories like these appear in the Bulletin. If you have a story idea, jot it down and send it to me.
Brad Uren’s legislative update calls attention to the impor- tance of our role in monitoring and improving health-care related activities in Lansing. You should read this as well. And don’t forget to have a look at the Public Health Report for Washtenaw County and the Medical Student article about student engagement at the AMA annual meeting.
The WCMS Bulletin is the official publication of the Washtenaw County Medical Society (WCMS). It is dedicated to providing useful information to Washtenaw County physicians about the actions of the WCMS and contemporary issues, with special emphasis on socio-economics, legislation, and news about medicine in Michigan and Washtenaw County.
The statements and/or opinions expressed in any article or feature published in the pages of the Bulletin are those of the authors and
