Human Trafficking Event at
St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor Tops 400 Attendees
The February event held at
St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor was a resounding success with attendees filling four lecture halls to hear speaker Sheila Meshinski, RN, discuss her experience as a certified forensic and sexual assault nurse examiner and representative on the State of Michigan Human Trafficking Task Force. Also on hand was a human trafficking survivor who told of her
own experience of being forced into prostitution and trafficked throughout the state of Michigan.
Many thanks to our co-sponsors of the event, MSMS and St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor’s Continuing Medical Education Office.
This event provided 1 AMA PRA Category 1 credit toward the new requirement for human trafficking educational training for all renewal and initial licensure.
