As I look forward to fall (can you say pumpkin spice), I will miss the amazing Michigan summer we had. Even with the need to stay safe with coronavirus, I hope you were able to enjoy the beautiful weather we were blessed with.
We have been busy at OCMS, launching a new logo and website, and planning lots of informative pro- grams for this fall. First, make sure you take a look at our new, user friendly website, We tried to simplify and add a few new things. We would love to hear your comments.
Next, as we cannot meet in person yet, we want- ed to be able to provide our physician membership and their offices with some
wonderful virtual programs.
These programs include a
COVID-19 update on human
resource issues, how to
improve your front office, op-
erating your office in the new
paradigm, and an E/M update
for 2021. We are also very
excited for our virtual annual
meeting where we will inau-
gurate our new president,
Paul Bozyk, MD, and provide
a very important update on
legislation at the federal and
state level that will affect
physicians. We hope you can attend. Infor- mation on all these programs is included in this issue.
We are also planning a virtual Painting with a Twist event for Tuesday, October 27th (see Doctor Geimer’s editorial). This is a reschedule from our March event that we had to cancel due to COVID. We are also work- ing with BCBSM to schedule some virtual events that will give our members an opportunity to ask questions on issues they may be having with specific products like Medicare Advantage, Turning Point and more.
Stay tuned!
Lastly, we would like to say
a most grateful thank you to our outgoing president, Sharon Geimer, MD. She had a tough year to be president but was always cognizant of our mem- bers’ needs and persevered in the challenges we faced.
As we move onward, I hope you enjoy your fall and contact OCMS if you need any assistance-
